David Deacon
Dave is loved by dogs and cats alike which is the universal sign of a good soul. He has a sharp, intellectual mind and knows quality when he sees it. He used to work for the late great Free Radical Design, working with the creators of the N64 Golden Eye and the Timesplitters series, Dave Doak and Karl Hilton. David was a big part of environment art team working on the final unreleased star wars project. After Free Radical’s demise he went to work as a CGI artist at one of the UK’s leading animation studios, Red Star Studio.
He lives on his iPad, loves his Mac and is a tech and gadget geek. It seems almost like his iPad is grafted to his hand at times. His greatest skill is his uncanny ability to pick up any software program as if it was pre installed into his mind via a flash drive.
Jonathan Shaw
Jon has always wanted to make games since he first played Sonic on his Mega Drive at the age of five. During his childhood he spent a lot of time playing games, making paper doodles of game designs and drawing cartoons. Fast forward to today and not much has changed. Jon tries to play as many games as possible and has a real passion for games design.
In his professional career he has worked for Blitz Games and TT Fusion as an animator. He has worked on many of the Lego titles including Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Rock Band and the Bafta Award winning Lego Batman. Jon has a strong background in traditional art and a degree in Animation. One of his favourite things to do in life is breathing, because it is pretty easy to do. He likes traveling, music festivals and most other things humans like.
Nick Teasey
Nick has a degree in Computer Animation and Special Effects, in which he specialised in 3D Art. While he is good at 3D Art, he is not so good at Super Hexagon and can’t play it to save his life. You’ll never see anyone get so frustrated trying to play that game either. Apart from that Nick is a positive upbeat man. IceFlame is his first industry job and since he started he has set out to strive for quality and brings a real passion to his work.
Nicks other hobbies include cooking elaborate food at lunch and writing post it notes all over the office as mini mantras of motivation. He has a spontaneous nature, for example he decided to buy a blender and drink nothing but fruit and vegetables for a week, while another week he decided to take up skipping. Nick likes Cars, Online Automotive Shows, Call of Duty and watching the Formula 1.
